Originally a French Acadian from rural New-Brunswick, Annik Gaudet (b.1986, NB, Canada) is an interdisciplinary artist now based in Halifax, NS. Her artwork intersects with her passion for nature and the outdoors, using wilderness hikes and coastline ramblings as a source for inspiration and way to gather material. She produces watercolour drawings, installations, videos and performances that reflect on those experiences by contemplating on human relationships with the land, exploring the important biodiversity of this land as well as recounting personal journeys through the use of surreal and evocative imagery. She has exhibited her work in Canada and internationally and holds a BFA from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design.
